Mykonos
Accommodation
Center
presents the work of
Pierre
Couteau
photographer for Greece
and the
Greek islands.
His
first
and only album of photographs
was published in 1978 with the help of Anne Rochegude.
This traditional greek island atmosphere has nearly
completely disappeared on Mykonos.
Pierre Couteau has participated with his photographic work at many group
exhibitions on the island.
Already for many years he has a high reputation for
some of the most beautiful calendars and postcards on the market in Greece.
Pierre Couteau’s subjects are the natural beauty to be
found on Mykonos, and the surrounding islands in the Cyclades, as well as on
Crete, but he adds also some more typical tourist sujects as beaches, panoramas
etc..
His collecetion of more than 500 postcards is to be
found in all islands in the south Aegean as well as in Athens. Couteau always had an open eye for funny situattions or subjects as you see on
this page.
Pierre Couteau has a few projects of books and
exhibitions in his mind concerning greek subjects, and he is looking for an
editor or publisher who is interested in making this happen.
Mykonos Accommodation Center is very happy and proud to
present his work, and thanks him for his authorization in using some
of his post cards on our web site. You may contact him by e-mail though us
in either English or French: we will forward them to him.
All his postcards and work is of course
copyrighted, and may not be reproduced without his authorization in any form.©
