A half-hour boat trip takes you to the famous historical Delos sanctuary, birthplace of Apollo and Artemis.

main location at the main town square , on the harbour front, near the statue of the Mykonian heroin Manto Mavrogenous.
There is a notice board there that states the rates for each destination, this is 
because the taxis do not use meters. You must wait in line here… Prices for the route per way; from Mykonos town (Chora)

CAIQUES: small fishing boats have been converted into transportation for tourists:
fun and sight- seeing at the same time.
                  – from the one end of Platis Yialos beach, very handily located near 
the arrival of the buses from town: small boats leave every hour or even less to 
the whole series of beaches: to Paranga,  Paradise, Super Paradise, Agrari, Elia.

Banks are open from 08.00 Am till 14.00 week days only: Friday’s only till 13.30. You will 
need your passport to exchange money.
Shops and boutiques open usually from 10.00 till 14.00 and again from 17.00 till very late
in the evening.
ATM: Automatic Teller Machines: there are 5 of them in the town at the bank locations:
you can cash money with different cards: visa, master card, amex , cirrus, maestro.
Cinema open air: an very interesting programme of new films will start at the beginning 
of June: usually 2 films a week with 2 showings a night. Situated in a central quiet & beautiful garden. Foreign Press for newspapers, magazines and books is to be found at the 
International Press shop near  Agia Kyriaki Square, not far from the main taxi square

Most visitors to Mykonos spend their day at one of the superb beaches.
They usually get up quite late ( 10 in the morning till midday and later…) for breakfast at their hotel or some special brunch place in town. Most beaches are not too far from the town: you may use the local buses, use the local caiques departing from Platis Yialos beach, take a taxi or rent a bike or jeep.
All beaches even the furthest away ones have at least a small taverna open for midday so most beach goers return quite late back to their hotels or accommodations, have a rest, a shower and get only ready for the earliest cocktail and sunsets bars by 7 or 8 PM. Dinner at the restaurants and tavernas do not start usually before 8 or 9 PM. Most restaurants or eating places are busy and remain open very late till midnight. Late night bars and disco’s start by 11 PM and the most 
crazy and fun hours of the night are usually from 1 till 3 and 4 o’clock in the morning. A late breakfast or brunch follows a late night sleep from 11 in the morning till 3 in the afternoon. Followed by the daily beach…and this goes on…

La mayoria de los visitantes a
Mykonos pasan sus dias en la una de las magnificas playas.
Se levantan generalmente muy tarde (a las 10.00, a mediodia o mas tarde…),
desayunan en su hotel o en un lugar especial para
brunch en la ciudad.
La mayoria de las playas no estan muy lejos de la ciudad: pueden tomar el
autobus, el caique
(pequeno barco) desde la playa de
Platis Yialos,
un taxi o alquilar una moto,
un coche o una jeep.

Todas las playas, incluso las mas lejanas, tienen por lo menos una taberna
abierta a partir de mediodia ; la mayoria de los
adorantes de la playa
vuelven tarde a su hotel, toman un descanso, una ducha, y estan listos
para el primer coctel de la noche en un bar a la hora de la puesta del sol
a pesar de las 7 o 8. Los restaurantes o tabernas abren a partir de las
20.00 o 21.00 para la cena, y la mayoria de los restaurantes o cafeterias

is the largest of the Cycladic Islands with the most fertile
