Mykonos island offers a very large choice of lodgings (more than 120 hotels, many pensions, self- catering properties:
condominiums, residences, apartments, studios and individual houses and villas with private pool).

Seasons:
Low Season (LS) approx. from April till end of May, and October
Middle Season (MS) approx. month of June and last 2 weeks of September
High Season (HS) approx. July 1st until mid-September.
Winter Season (WS) approx. from November unit end-March
Each hotel is free to choosing its own seasons and prices.

Hotel Categories
Most Mykonos hotels are small, 2 storey buildings, built in the charming cubic Cycladic style (there are no large, high rise "international style" hotels).
The new official hotel categories or classes in Greece are now based on star rating system, but not all hotels apply them yet and they replace the previously used categories: Deluxe, A, B, C, D and E

5 star or DELUXE: most recent hotels with top facilities & amenities, restaurants, gym., swimming pool, buffet breakfast,
bars, all rooms with A/C, mini bar,
TV ...
4 star or "A" category: All rooms with A/C, mini bar, colour TV, swimming pool, hotel bar, buffet breakfast........
3 star or "B" category: Most of them with swimming pool and A/C.
2 star or "C" category: Some in town, some with swimming pool and/or A/C.
1 star or Tourist class: Small simple hotels with few facilities, but have minimum reception and breakfast
Pensions: Rooms with private bathroom, but no breakfast and limited reception services.

Studios, Apartments, Houses and Villas: many properties apply now the new "key" rating system ( from 1 to 4 keys depending amenities...)
Houses and buildings on Mykonos are two-storeys high and built in typical Cycladic architectural style: i.e. cubic and ground floor/upper floor.
Most accommodation and lodgings have well equipped kitchens even if not of gastronomic cuisine standard.
Bed linen and towels are provided in all lodgings and usually changed twice a week. Optional daily maid service.
Rental terms: - minimum one-week stay though in high season some apartments and villas demand a two-week minimum rental.
Studios are all-in-one rooms usually with twin beds, a small corner kitchen and private bathroom/shower.
Apartments consist of a living room with open-plan kitchen, 1 or 2 separate bedrooms and a bathroom usually with shower.
Some condominiums or residences offer higher quality accommodation with villa-type lodging with 2 or 3 bedrooms; there are few independent houses and villas.
International style private homes and villas require a
- minimum rental of 2 weeks or 1 month (in peak summer months).
- Recommendation and often a deposit guarantee are demanded.
Check in - Check out
All hotels and self-catering properties on the island have a check in - check out policy of 12.00 / midday.
Clients departing late afternoon/18h00 are usually charged a half-day supplement
