TAXIS: A fleet of around 25 taxis, which are not enough for the island, have their
main location at the main town square , on the harbour front, near the statue of the Mykonian heroin Manto Mavrogenous.
There is a notice board there that states the rates for each destination, this is
because the taxis do not use meters. You must wait in line here… Prices for the route per way; from Mykonos town (Chora)
to Tourlos: 700 Drs. to Ag. Stefanos: 900
to Ornos: 1000 Drs., to Airport, Ag. Ioannis & Platis Yialos: 1300
to Psarou: 1400 Drs., to Ano Mera: 1600 Drs., to Paradise: 1900
to Elia & Kalafati: 2400 Drs..
– Usually there are taxis to be found at the airport as well: price per way for each
route: please add 300
Drs. to the prices from the town.
– They have a radio taxi system for late hours and out of town service:

CAIQUES: small fishing boats have been converted into transportation for tourists:
fun and sight- seeing at the same time.
– from the one end of Platis Yialos beach, very handily located near
the arrival of the buses from town: small boats leave every hour or even less to
the whole series of beaches: to Paranga, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agrari, Elia.
Prices per person round trip: 800 Drs to Paradise & Paranga,
Super Paradise 1000 Drs, Agrari & Elia 1200 Drs.
– to rent a boat with a captain for around 4 or 5 hours for a group of
15 persons, the cost will be approx. 60.000 Drs or 200 US $.
The boat can go to Delos, to further away beaches of your choice or to the islets situated south of the island if weather permitting.

DELOS Departures: to the ancient archaeological sanctuary: now an non habited
island with some of the most remarkable ruins in Greece: a round trip ticket costs
1900 Drs. the entrance on the island: costs:
– from the old jetty in town: there are 3 boats doing this line:
the “Hera” dep. at 09:00, 10:15, 11:40 and 12:50, return from Delos: at 12:20, 13:45, 15:00.
the “Delos Express” dep. at 08:30, 09:55, 11.50, 13.20 return from Delos: 09:10,10.35,12:45, and the latest departure at 15:00.
the ” Niki” departures at: 09:30, 11:00, 12:30, returns at: 11:40, 13:15, 15:00.
– from Platis Yialos to Ornos to Delos: more information later for
small groups on request.

Banks are open from 08.00 Am till 14.00 week days only: Friday’s only till 13.30. You will
need your passport to exchange money.
Shops and boutiques open usually from 10.00 till 14.00 and again from 17.00 till very late
in the evening.
ATM: Automatic Teller Machines: there are 5 of them in the town at the bank locations:
you can cash money with different cards: visa, master card, amex , cirrus, maestro.
Cinema open air: an very interesting programme of new films will start at the beginning
of June: usually 2 films a week with 2 showings a night. Situated in a central quiet & beautiful garden. Foreign Press for newspapers, magazines and books is to be found at the
International Press shop near Agia Kyriaki Square, not far from the main taxi square
